As is usually the case, the World Cup Final yesterday was not without controversy. In an uncharacteristically brutal move, Zinedine Zidane used his cleanly shaven noggin to strike an Italian player's chest. This is certainly not unheard of, but c'mon Z. With 2 minutes left to play in the World Cup Final, with 2 minutes left to play in your storied career, what the hell were you thinking?
Shame on you, Zinedine - you've turned a long time fan into a disheartened has-been...something you're sure to understand more about as you exit the world soccer stage.
